Let me break this down to help you manage energy and nourishment since theyre really important mechanics that affect everything you do. Watch your nourishment gauge carefully because dropping below 50 starts hitting your stamina hard, and if you let it fall too low youll actually take health damage which is pretty nasty in combat situations. The sweet spot is keeping it between 50 and 100, since going over 100 actually slows you down from overeating. Food quality matters too - anything below 50 condition can poison you, so check those percentages in your inventory.

For energy management, youll want to plan your sleep cycles since its the only way to restore energy. When you drop below 50 energy, your stats take a serious hit - strength, vitality, agility, and charisma all get debuffed, and if you push it too far Henry might just collapse. A solid 8-9 hours of sleep is ideal but heres the catch, sleeping burns through your nourishment so eat before bed. Maybe interesting - alcohol gives some nourishment but the drunk effects and hangover usually arent worth it unless youre desperate.

Finding safe beds as you progress through the story is crucial since they guarantee uninterrupted rest. Cook your meat when you can since it affects both how long it lasts and how much nourishment you get. One tricky detail to remember is that eating actually costs energy, so you need to balance immediate needs against long-term survival especially during long trips away from safe areas.
