So stealth actions are actually pretty straightforward once you get the hang of them. When you want to knock someone out you just need to crouch and sneak up behind them, then hit F when you see the prompt and time that blue sword icon just right. The neat thing is you don't need any special equipment for knockouts but if you're going for kills, make sure you've got a dagger equipped first.
The whole stealth system really comes down to three main things - how visible you are, how much noise you're making and whether you look suspicious. Dark clothes help you blend in better and lighter armor keeps you quiet which is super important when sneaking around. Sometimes wearing enemy uniforms can actually help you move through their territory without raising alarms.
Getting good at this stuff takes practice but here's something interesting - you can actually test your skills on drunk or sleeping NPCs first since they're easier targets. Just remember to drag bodies out of sight cause guards tend to raise the alarm if they spot them. The lockpicking skill opens up some nice alternatives too especially when you need to avoid combat entirely.
Speaking of combat though you'll definitely need to know how to handle yourself in a fight cause stealth isn't always an option. Master Tomcat can teach you the basics and it's worth spending time learning proper weapon techniques especially since different weapons work better against different types of armor.
Tip for you - invest in those stealth-focused perks early on especially Takedown and Hustler they make everything so much smoother. And always save before trying anything risky cause if you mess up the guards definitely won't go easy on you.
