Do merchants have limited money or goods, and do they restock over time?

played similar games to kcd2 before coming here and they apparently run out of coins before restocking is it the same here

The merchants work on a pretty interesting system where their money and goods refresh every couple of days, usually taking around 2-3 days to restock completely. Something worth knowing is that you can actually help merchants get richer over time by selling them valuable stuff, since they'll eventually resell what you've given them.

Most traders follow similar patterns but there's a bit of variation depending on who you're dealing with. Blacksmiths might take a little longer to restock, and sometimes there can be small hiccups with their refresh timing. If you're trying to make the most money, it's smart to rotate between different merchants instead of emptying out just one person's coin purse.

For stuff that's, well, not exactly legally obtained, you'll want to find those special merchants like millers who don't ask questions, at least until you've got the right speech skills to convince regular traders to look the other way. Good to remember that when you sell something to a merchant, it stays in their inventory until they manage to sell it themselves, which feels pretty realistic if you think about it.

A useful trick is to catch some sleep if you're waiting for merchants to restock their coins and inventory, and always try haggling but don't go too aggressive with your offers right away. Start somewhere in the middle, and you'll usually get better results that way.
