Something interesting about the timing - you need these down before average sanity drops below 50%, but watch out for demons since they can start hunting at 70% which catches a lot of people off guard. Each crucifix blocks exactly two hunt attempts before vanishing, so keep track of your charges and be ready with replacements. If you're dealing with a banshee, pay attention to which player it's fixating on and adjust your crucifix placement to cover their usual spots since these ghosts are really predictable with their targeting.

Good to know that putting the crucifix on the ground is better than holding it.
