So the parabolic mic is actually pretty handy once you get used to it - grab it from the truck and you'll get the best results on bigger maps like sunny meadows. I've found that doing really slow sweeps while watching those numbers is the way to go, and anything above 6 usually means youve got some ghostly action going on. The coolest part is catching those special sounds, like when you hear a banshee scream youve basically solved the mystery right there.

Something interesting i learned after a while is that your teammates need to stay pretty quiet behind you, since this thing picks up literally everything in front of it. If youre playing solo though its much easier to hear whats going on. The upgraded versions are definitely worth getting when you can, especially that tier 3 which gives you this neat sonar display that makes finding stuff so much clearer.

I usually hang around near where we think the ghost room is, but not too close, and just keep scanning. Its actually helped me find quite a few ghost rooms just by picking up random door sounds or footsteps through walls. Just remember to be patient with it since the readings take a second or two to update, and sometimes youll catch those myling whispers if youre paying attention.
