The main thing to understand is that not every interaction leaves those glowing fingerprints behind even when ghosts mess with doors and windows. Its actually pretty straightforward, if the ghost doesnt have uv evidence as one of its tells like the banshee or poltergeist they wont leave prints no matter what they do with objects.

Something interesting to note is how different interactions work - when a yurei does that signature door slam or a mare breaks lights, those count as ghost events not physical touches, so no prints show up. Same goes for when they mess with stuff from far away, like if youre dealing with twins who can reach pretty far out.

A good tip to remember is that fingerprints only show up when ghosts physically touch things like light switches or door handles. Some ghosts are extra tricky about it too - the obake leaves prints that fade super quick and sometimes shows a creepy six-fingered hand, while mimics only leave prints if theyre copying a ghost that normally would. Just because you dont see prints, doesnt mean the ghost isnt messing with stuff around you
