You know those weird geometric patterns you see in the alien ruins? They're actually super fascinating once you look closer at them. The basic idea is that these non-repeating shapes, like rhombuses and these neat little kite patterns, make everything feel properly otherworldly and mysterious. I spent way too much time just staring at them during my exploration runs if im being honest
The cool thing is how these patterns never exactly repeat themselves, which really sells the whole ancient advanced civilization vibe. Its actually pretty clever when you think about it cause they basically took real math concepts and turned them into something that feels truly alien. Maybe interesting - if you look carefully at the floor designs in different ruins, youll notice they all have their own unique patterns but somehow still feel connected
I love how the designs actually tell a bit of a story too, like whoever built these places definitely wasnt thinking like we do. The patterns get really complex in some spots and its wild to think about how much thought went into making them feel both mathematical and artistic at the same time. Tip - the details are usually easier to spot during dawn or dusk lighting when the shadows hit just right
You can tell the developers really put some thought into making these ruins feel special cause the patterns actually remind me of some real-world science stuff i read about. Makes the whole experience feel more grounded even though youre exploring alien worlds which is pretty neat when you think about it
