During heavy storms the engine smartly cuts back on distant details, focusing on what's right in front of you which keeps things running smooth.

The fur system uses some clever tricks with shell layers instead of individual hairs, makes it look real without destroying your framerate. Higher end systems get the full experience with denser fur and better weather effects but even basic setups handle it well, just with simpler textures. Really neat how it manages those 60 frames while keeping everything looking good, especially when the snow starts matting down the fur or making skin look damp.
