i love wilds' graphics btw so i was wondering and got curious how come the devs work with blizzard collisions to monster furs
Sssh0091
Gpu-driven guide fur systems make the magic happen with selective strand simulation that keeps things smooth during weather events focus on high-detail guides that control nearby fur strands, creating natural movement without the processing strain
Main system works like this: pick key strands to simulate physics on those first, let surrounding fur follow their lead works really well with weather effects since the gpu handles all collision math at once instead of grinding through every single hair. Getting good frame rates means the system constantly adjusts fur detail based on whats happening - distant fur gets simpler, close-up fur stays detailed and when things get busy the memory streams in just what you need
Something interesting about the wind system, it applies force to whole fur sections instead of individual strands which is pretty clever for keeping things running well even with all that optimization youll notice some slowdown in busy town areas, but thats more about npc processing than the fur itself
The unbridled force of nature runs wild and relentless, with environments transforming drastically from one moment to the next. This is a story of monsters and humans and their struggles to live in harmony in a world of duality.
