In Chapter 1 theres only a handful of ways to get silk and the game does this on purpose. Your best bet is heading to the Ancient Guan Yin Temple shop where you can buy 2 pieces they wont restock so grab them when you see them. You can also get 2 more silk from beating Elder Ginchi the temple boss its a tough fight but worth it for the guaranteed drops

Some players say Funlings drop silk along Snake Trail up in Black Wind Mountain but honestly its not worth farming them in Chapter 1 the drop rates pretty terrible and youll waste a lot of time. The games actually designed to open up silk farming in Chapter 2 where youll find way more from both enemies and chests

If you really need silk right now focus on getting those 4 guaranteed pieces from the shop and Elder Ginchi first thats your best strategy. The games deliberately making silk hard to find early on so dont stress about it too much Save what you get for important armor upgrades thatll help you the most early game
