Head to the Mantis-Catching Swamp area first since its the best spot to start this fight. Youll need the Fireproof Mantle which you can get from beating Elder Jinchi in the Ancient Guanyin Temple, definitely worth grabbing before trying this. Make sure your stamina is over 300 points and get some burn resistance if you can but the mantle is what really matters here.

The main thing to watch for is the Somersault Cloud jump timing, since youll need to grab those glowing antennae on his back and hold on tight through three jumps. Pretty interesting actually, if you let go too early youll just get kicked right off and have to start over.

When he starts his burning phase, just activate the Fireproof Mantle, and youll be safe from all that nasty burn damage while you focus on the jumping sequence. Good to know that if you mess up the jumps, you can use Somersault Cloud to get right back on his back, but try to save some stamina for emergencies.

Maybe keep your healing items until you really need them, usually one or two is enough for the whole fight if youre careful with the timing. The Mantis-Catching Swamp position really helps, so if youre having trouble staying on definitely double check youre starting from there.
