Here's what you need to know about resting and how it affects your adventure. Taking long rests can seriously impact how things play out, and you'll want to be smart about when you do it. Some quests are pretty time-sensitive like saving Arabella or helping Counselor Florrick, and if you rest too much these situations might resolve themselves without you which isn't always great.

The cool thing is resting at camp triggers all sorts of interesting conversations and scenes with your companions. You'll see Gale dealing with his magical issues, or catch Shadowheart doing her mysterious nighttime rituals, so you definitely don't want to skip these moments completely. Just keep in mind that some opportunities can disappear if you rest at the wrong time, like with Lae'zel early on - take a nap before freeing her from that cage, and she might not stick around to join your group.

Something interesting to consider is that you can do Partial Rests without using supplies which still moves time forward but doesn't give you all your resources back (usually Cantrips will be restored but most Spells require Long Rest). This can be really helpful when you're trying to balance seeing all those companion stories while managing urgent situations. Generally speaking, its good to rest after big story moments to catch all the companion content, but maybe hold off when someone tells you theres no time to waste. And if youre playing on Tactician difficulty, try to keep around 80 supplies handy just in case you need them later on.
