weve seen this evil looking book triggered a unique scene at the start but im curious if there is something similar that will happen in later acts or encounters especially with unique and legendary items
US
From what I've tested there aren't specific weapon-triggered camp interactions but understanding the timing of key events helps maximize companion dialogue. Watch for approval thresholds around 40+ which unlock personal conversations especially with characters like astarion. The main story beats trigger most camp scenes, and you'll notice companions become more talkative after major plot developments like resolving the grove situation. Your magical artifacts are worth paying attention to since gale specifically reacts to those, and keeping track of companion-specific quest progress unlocks their deeper storylines.
Some companions might comment on weapon choices during regular dialogue, like when lae'zel sees you with githyanki weapons or karlach notices heavy weaponry, but these are more casual remarks than actual scenes. If you're carrying quest-relevant weapons like the blood of lathander, you might get brief acknowledgments but nothing that changes the camp dynamics significantly. The real triggers come from relationship building and story progress, and timing those right matters more than your equipment loadout.
Most importantly watch companion approval ratings since that's what actually drives meaningful camp interactions rather than what weapons you're carrying. Getting those numbers up through choices that align with their values opens up way more content than any specific gear setup would.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons, where your choices shape a tale of fellowship and betrayal, survival and sacrifice, and the lure of absolute power.

for example i want wyll to be able to use magic that gale uses despite him being a warlock - so basically the difference would probably lie on their cantrips and spells??? kind of confused need help
