Let me walk you through the major movement improvements that really change how the game feels to play (this is actually one of the biggest upgrades from the original). The new dodge roll system is absolutely game-changing, as it gives every class a way to avoid damage with those precious invincibility frames - and since there's no cooldown, you can really dance around dangerous situations when you get the timing down.
Something that's particularly interesting is how they've integrated wasd movement (this pairs incredibly well with ranged classes, since you can keep firing while repositioning). You'll find yourself naturally combining this with directional dodging, which opens up some really smart defensive plays during tough encounters.
The movement abilities have gotten some clever reworks too. Shield charge, for example, now blocks incoming projectiles while you're moving (perfect for closing gaps safely), and hand of chayula lets you dash-attack with much smoother animation canceling than before. Id strongly recommend experimenting with these early on, as mastering movement mechanics will make later boss fights much more manageable.
One neat detail worth mentioning is how movement speed affects your dodge roll distance (this means your defensive capabilities scale naturally with your character's progression). The whole system feels more cohesive now, especially with how they've implemented the new spirit resource system for maintaining buffs while moving around.
Remember to practice using your dodge rolls during regular combat, not just boss fights - you'll thank yourself later when those muscle memories kick in during tougher encounters!
