does anyone know about the term power creep here? so its pretty common in rpg primarily and its about a new kid in the block defeating the old, often outdated stuff. How does it work in poe2?

Let's look at how they're handling the power balance situation in this sequel, since it's actually quite interesting. The combat's definitely taking a more methodical approach now with those dodge rolls and dangerous enemies, though some players are still finding ways to clear entire screens pretty quickly in the endgame. They've made some smart adjustments to how the defensive side works, dropping those elemental resistance penalties in maps and bringing down monster crit damage by quite a bit, which helps keep things challenging without being unfair.
One thing that's pretty neat is how they're changing up the support gems to do more than just pump up damage numbers - like that new tremors support that creates aftershocks, which adds some interesting tactical choices. The tower system in the endgame is getting a nice overhaul too with random generation and better boss integration, plus they've added those checkpoints to make exploring less of a hassle.
Something worth knowing is they're actually listening to player feedback quite a bit. When people complained about those volatile crystals being too hard to spot, they just straight up disabled them and toned down some of the more annoying on-death effects. The early campaign keeps things pretty steady through the first six acts, but you'll definitely notice some power spikes once you start playing around with skill combinations like magnetic salvo chains. It's still early days though and they're tweaking things constantly based on how people are playing, so expect more changes before the final release rolls around.
