would love to know more about this passive skill tree as its been a long time since i played the game
ChronoWeave
The passive tree's probably one of the biggest changes youll notice when getting into the second game so lets break down what you need to know. When you equip different weapons the tree actually changes which is pretty interesting since you can set up different passive layouts for each weapon type. The blue nodes are your standard stuff that works with everything but the red and green ones, they activate based on what youre holding. The way attributes work is different too - now those little nodes let you pick between +5 strength dex or int, and your health actually comes from strength instead of specific life nodes.
Something really cool is how the specialization system works with weapon swapping. Like if youre running around with a shield your defensive passives kick in automatically, but swap to a two-handed axe and boom your damage nodes activate instead. The starting areas make more sense now with two classes sharing each main attribute which helps when youre figuring out your build path. If you mess up your build dont worry too much since you can respec at the hooded one using gold instead of those expensive orbs from before.
The real interesting stuff comes from doing campaign content though - you'll find these books of specialization from beating certain bosses and finishing quests that unlock some pretty powerful nodes. Just remember your weapon-specific passives show up in different colors on the tree which helps keep track of whats active when youre swapping gear around.
