Let me simplify getting that spear powered up to legendary for you. Youll need to track down four gale flames, and its actually not too bad once you know where to look. The first one comes naturally during the story when you take down hrist and mist in muspelheim, so no worries there. For the second one, youll want to check out the nocturnal predator quest in vanaheim's plains, but make sure youve unlocked the crater first or it wont be available.

The third ones a bit more involved since you need to chase down six lindwyrms hiding in those yggdrasil rifts across different realms, but its kind of fun tracking them all down. Each one gives you a gale spark, and once you've got all six, they combine into your third flame. For the last one, youll need to wait until after finishing the main story, then take on those two berserkers, bodvar and starolfr, in the jarnsmida pitmines.

Just remember to stop by any blacksmith whenever you get a flame, and theyll help you power up that spear. Once you hit level 9, youll unlock everything in the skill tree and max out those stats. Took me a while to get them all, but its definitely worth it for how powerful the spear becomes.
