I think i know what you're wondering about. The good news is you can't permanently miss any side content or favors in this one. When you're doing story missions, some areas might temporarily lock you out but everything opens right back up afterwards. The quest markers with blue exclamation points stay visible on your map and you can track everything through the goals menu which is pretty convenient. Interesting tip - some of the bigger side activities like the berserker challenges and dragon hunts actually unlock as you progress through the main story, but don't worry about rushing to complete them right away.
The game actually gives you a clear heads up before the one mission that could temporarily block access - it's called the realms at war, so you'll know exactly when to wrap up anything urgent. After finishing the main story, you can freely explore to tackle all 47 favors, hunt down those collectibles, and even take on the newer stuff like the valhalla content they added later. Just keep an eye on your map since some areas like the asgard remnants only show up once you've finished the main story stuff, but theyll definitely be there waiting for you when you're ready.
Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.
