Start by checking northeast of the Arcane Tower around coordinates X:76 Y:-242, where you'll spot some explosive torchstalk mushrooms - these actually mark your path to the Festering Cove but watch your step carefully since chain reactions will definitely kill you. The safest approach is jumping between platforms right as the previous explosion settles, keeping about 3 seconds between hops.

For the really tricky stuff, the Zhentarim elevator requires precise timing on that Perception check since the illusory wall flickers slightly every 4 seconds, and you'll need to swipe Karad's key which has a tight 10 second window when he turns to inspect the wine barrels. The Arcane Tower basement becomes accessible only after you've equipped the Guiding Light ring, and interestingly the elevator controls pulse faintly when you're within 5 meters while wearing it.

Through the Bibberbang Grotto, timing those explosive mushroom fields is essential - each cluster has about a 2 second delay before detonating, and you'll want to maintain at least 8 meters distance from the largest groupings.
