So managing those risky slopes while exploring can be pretty tricky, but i've learned some good ways to handle it after taking quite a few tumbles myself. First thing you wanna do is really pay attention to those slope warnings cause they're there for a reason, and keeping your movement nice and slow definitely helps. I've found that crouching while going downhill makes a huge difference, probably cuts your chances of getting hurt by like 70% or something.

One thing that took me a while to figure out is how much stuff you're carrying actually matters. Try to keep your weight under 35kg if you can, and maybe set up some supply caches instead of hauling everything at once. Really makes a difference when youre picking your way down those steep paths.

Something else thats super important is keeping an eye on how tired you are, cause being exhausted is basically asking for trouble. Always make sure youve got some bandages and pain meds in your pack too - learned that one the hard way! Speaking of which if you do end up hurting yourself dont try to tough it out, patch yourself up right away and get some rest. Usually takes about 4 hours to heal up an ankle and 2 for a wrist injury.

Oh and here's something interesting - sometimes taking the longer way around is actually faster than trying to shortcut down a steep slope and ending up with an injury. The whole risk vs reward thing really comes into play here, and trust me nobody wants to be stuck healing halfway down a mountain when the weather starts turning bad!
