Start with a PMm or basic shotgun for weaker threats saving the good stuff like 5.45 and 7.62 rounds for the serious fights. Common ammo is everywhere but those rare rounds need careful planning. Take a sec to unload weapons from bodies by holding F, and dont waste shots on crates when your knife works fine. Single-fire mode is your friend here, lets you control those shots better and maybe interesting - enemies will burn through their own ammo if you stay patient behind cover. Worth checking those blue spray paint marks on walls since theyre usually pointing to stash spots with free ammo, no fighting needed. Trading smart makes a huge difference, sell off any ammo you cant use at Hamster or other traders, spend those coupons on good weapon mods instead of stockpiling rounds you might never need. Tip - suppressed weapons near anomaly zones are gold since regular gunfire can trigger all kinds of trouble, and knife kills on smaller threats save precious bullets. Getting close to hostiles isnt always smart but when it works, its way better than wasting ammunition you'll need later in the Zone.
