Start by gathering wood and cloth since youll need quite a bit smack trees with your rock and grab any hemp plants you see. For a basic hunting bow you're looking at 200 wood and 50 cloth, which isn't too bad early on. Once you've got those materials open your inventory tab and craft it, then focus on arrows.

Regular wooden arrows are your best friend at first, needing just 25 wood and 10 stone for a batch of five. Getting into fights though, bone arrows might be more your speed since they pack a decent punch and only need wood plus bone fragments instead of precious stone. Fire arrows are fun but pretty expensive with the wood, low grade fuel, and cloth requirements, so maybe save those for later when resources aren't as tight.

Good to know the shooting mechanics are pretty straightforward hold right click to pull back the bow, then left click to let the arrow fly. Try to save your stone early on and stick to wooden or bone arrows since youll need that stone for building anyway. If you're feeling clever, practice your aim on some barrels or signs first since player combat needs a bit more finesse with the arrow drop.
