its been a while since i played with other people in this game! need pointers on how to share blueprints to my clanmates + how does trading work again?

The concept of sharing and trading blueprints is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. If you're working with a team, the blueprint share plugin is gonna be your best friend since it lets everyone share their research automatically, even when some players are offline which saves a ton of time and resources.
For trading with other players outside your team you've basically got two solid options. The metal shop front is definitely the way to go if you want to stay safe, since it's got this nice secure drawer system where both players need to agree before anything changes hands. Plus that reinforced window lets you keep an eye on everything without risking your stuff. The wooden shop front is cheaper to make but honestly, it's more of a last resort kind of thing since anyone can break through it and steal your goods.
Something interesting to keep in mind is that basic items like tools and code locks don't need blueprints at all, but the moment you're looking at the good stuff like aks or armored doors, you'll need to do some research. Just remember that blueprints don't carry over between servers, so you'll have to start fresh if you switch.
Good to know for newer players - if you're using the blueprint share plugin with your team, make sure everyone knows how it works because once someone leaves the team, they lose access to those shared blueprints. The metal shop front might cost more upfront, but it's absolutely worth it compared to losing your stuff in a risky trade through wooden doors.
The only aim in Rust is to survive. Everything wants you to die - the island’s wildlife, other inhabitants, the environment, and other survivors. Do whatever it takes to last another night.

farming locations are highly preferred like those safe quarries. i cant really buy or trade atm because i just started playing and still getting familiar with the game. i probably would enjoy exploring a little more instead of straight up buying
