am in a public lobby so i have no choice but to suffer lol but srsly im getting tired of cheaters man. how do i deal with em? not like i can report them and theyre instabanned right

In a nutshell, your best bet against those pesky cheaters is playing smart on well moderated servers, especially ones using stuff like rustadmin or enhanced ban plugins since they're usually quick with the bans. Starting off remote instead of near monuments or busy areas makes a huge difference, and setting up your base with proper airlocks and hidden tool cupboards is crucial. When you're out and about, try mixing up your routes since esp users cant predict where youre heading next. Something interesting teaming up with people you trust makes you way less of a target, plus its easier to secure loot and resources together.
Keep your valuable stuff spread out in hidden stashes and whenever you spot someone sketchy, document it and report through the games system or server discord. Good to know that while eac does its job most of the time, some cheaters still slip through so picking servers with active admins and multiple anti cheat layers is your best move. Honestly its all about staying unpredictable, keeping a low profile when needed, and making smart choices about where and how you play.
When building anywhere, think about using natural cover and maybe set up some fake bases to throw off anyone using esp. Stick to community servers that actually care about keeping things fair, and you'll have a much better time overall.
The only aim in Rust is to survive. Everything wants you to die - the island’s wildlife, other inhabitants, the environment, and other survivors. Do whatever it takes to last another night.

farming locations are highly preferred like those safe quarries. i cant really buy or trade atm because i just started playing and still getting familiar with the game. i probably would enjoy exploring a little more instead of straight up buying
