The radiation zones are no joke especially when you're first starting out you'll need a hazmat suit the moment you spot those warning signs or your health will tank fast. When storms hit which is pretty random you need to get inside quick and stay there til it passes. The snow areas need some planning too since the cold will kill you without proper gear maybe keep an extra set of warm clothes in your hotbar for emergencies, same goes for desert runs where water management is crucial.
Good to know that underground bases help a ton with temperature control and you can set up water catchers nearby to stay hydrated. The wildlife timing is super specific bears charge straight at you with a distinct animation, giving you about 2 seconds to react and wolves tend to circle before lunging which is your cue to either shoot or run. When visibility drops in fog or sandstorms that's actually perfect for sneaking resource runs, just keep your compass oriented and stay close to landmarks.
The most dangerous radtowns flash distinct visual warnings before radiation spikes, giving you roughly 3 seconds to find cover. Your best window for looting is right after a radiation storm passes, when most players are still bunkered down. Any time you're heading into high risk zones carry backup meds and extra gear, because timing your retreat is just as important as the approach itself. The radiation warning meter ticks up in specific intervals, so watch those numbers closely and bail when you hit 75%, that's your safe window before taking serious damage.
The only aim in Rust is to survive. Everything wants you to die - the island’s wildlife, other inhabitants, the environment, and other survivors. Do whatever it takes to last another night.

farming locations are highly preferred like those safe quarries. i cant really buy or trade atm because i just started playing and still getting familiar with the game. i probably would enjoy exploring a little more instead of straight up buying
