Keep it on your back while two-handing works fine just make sure its equipped. Watch the snow for footprints if you're torchless but honestly that's way harder than it needs to be. Black knife armor in the town helps sneak around, and staying up on the rooftops keeps you safer while you deal with those annoying archers first.

Look these guys dont respawn once dead so taking em systematic is smart especially since theyre mostly prowling ground level. Getting those candles lit is the main goal, and anything you light stays lit even if you die so no need to panic about perfect runs.
