So thermal and bladed weapons are pretty interesting when it comes to dealing with armored enemies. The basic idea is that while they don't completely ignore armor, they've got some nice tricks up their sleeve. Thermal weapons like the errata katana can burn enemies which is really effective since that damage-over-time effect actually bypasses armor and you might notice it happens quite often, like 30% of the time

Bladed weapons in general have decent armor penetration built in around 25% and you can stack that with mods that add thermal damage which is pretty sweet especially if youre going for a crit-focused build. Something worth knowing is that youll still need to work a bit harder against heavily armored targets but if you focus on headshots and weak points youll do much better

The really cool part is how you can combine all this with different perks and cyberware like heat converter which turns those burn effects into damage bonuses. Makes the whole thing work together really nicely especially if youre into that kind of build synergy stuff but remember even with all that youre not completely ignoring armor just working around it in smart ways
