When you start causing problems, you'll get regular officers and cruisers just trying to take you down non-lethally at first. Its worth noting that in places like city center, they show up way faster with better gear, while in heywood you might have more time to slip away from their older vehicles.

Things get more serious once you hit 3 stars with swat trucks and netrunners showing up to shut you down, and they'll start setting up roadblocks to catch you. Push it to 4 stars, and you'll have to deal with those massive police mechs and netwatch agents hunting you down, while different districts might throw their own special units at you like corpo drones in biotechnica.

Really interesting thing about max-tac is they only show up at 5 stars when things are completely out of hand. These cyberpsycho hunters drop in from their avs with some seriously nasty weapons and cyberwear, and trust me you don't want to mess with their vehicle-mounted guns. Maybe worth mentioning that pacifica handles things differently - they pretty much ignore you until you hit 3 stars, then send in barghest mercs instead of regular police which can catch you off guard if youre not ready for it.
