Yeah johnny definitely shows up while youre exploring around. He'll just kinda appear as this blue hologram thing that only v can see which is pretty cool actually. I've run into him quite a few times just wandering around night city, usually when something catches his attention. Like sometimes he'll pop up to make fun of how the city's changed or share some story about what a place used to be like back in his day.

One of my favorite moments was finding this old abandoned rollercoaster, and johnny was there making comments about it. Really adds to the atmosphere, you know? And sometimes when you're doing side jobs or gigs, he'll show up with his usual snarky comments about whatever youre up to. The thing is though you cant just make him appear whenever you want - its all tied to specific spots or moments the developers put in.

What's kinda interesting is how his attitude towards you changes over time, depending on how youve been handling things in the story. Like at first he's super hostile but later on he might actually crack a joke or two that isn't completely aimed at insulting you. Just don't expect to have full conversations with him during free roam - its more like he shows up, says his piece, and vanishes again until the next trigger point.
