hey all! my cousin asked me to ask in this sub cuz shes using switch to play w3. im a pc player so i cant exactly help but basically all about optimizing graphic settings for a 60 fps run

Let’s focus on getting those graphics running smoothly on your switch (this tends to be tricky because the hardware has to balance between visual quality and performance). The most important changes you’ll want to make are turning off motion blur and regular blur effects, which not only helps things run better but actually makes the game look clearer during movement.
For the core settings, keep bloom and light shafts enabled (these create that nice atmospheric effect without hitting performance too hard), but dial down the sharpening to low or turn it off completely. Depth of field is interesting here, because while you’ll want it off during regular gameplay, keeping it on during cutscenes preserves those cinematic moments without affecting your combat performance.
Good to know: something that’s helped a lot of players is reducing foliage density and water effects (this works because these effects can really tax the system, especially in places like dense forests or near rivers). You might also want to experiment with turning off anti aliasing – it’ll make edges a bit more jagged, but many players actually prefer the sharper look, and it gives you a nice little performance boost.
The nice thing about these adjustments is that they work together to keep your framerate stable, especially in demanding areas like novigrad where the system really has to work hard (those city scenes can be particularly challenging because of all the npcs and buildings being rendered at once). Just remember that the switch version targets 30 fps, so don’t expect it to run like a high end pc – these settings are all about finding that sweet spot between looking good and playing smooth.
You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

quite worried because i heard how most optional quests and main quests are almost intertwined to each other! i remember rdr2 having the same plot and gameplay and tbh id rather not repeat the whole game
