For close combat best bet is sneaking up on isolated targets with melee when you're in tight spaces, works great for saving ammo. Grappling from behind is your friend but watch out for groups, they'll swarm you fast. Keep an eye on that r1 listening mode to spot threats and maybe interesting you can actually see stalkers' jeans when they're stuck in walls, shoot em quick

Stay away from clickers in melee range unless you're really confident with dodge timing, and infected are generally bad news up close. Upgraded weapons make things way easier since you can one-shot most human enemies, just remember to time those dodges right. If you're in open areas better stick to guns, melee's gonna get you killed there

Cover ambushes are solid when enemies pass by tight spaces, and quick grabs let you reposition bodies to stay hidden. Actually pretty useful that you can drag bodies away now keeps other patrols from spotting them. Just remember if you see multiple enemies coming your way, better back off and find another approach
