first time creating a custom class - i quit my previous run lol i was getting bored! what are some of the best stats i should take into consideration birthsign race origin etc? thx

Select specialization first, matches your planned activities: combat adds +5 to fighting skills, magic boosts spell abilities, stealth enhances sneaky gameplay. Pick 7 major skills you'll actually use frequently - mix combat skills like blade with utility abilities to avoid leveling too fast.
For attribute selection, grab two that support your build directly. Strength works great for weapon damage, intelligence helps with magicka pools. The remaster makes this less punishing than before, so dont stress too much about perfect optimization.
Good to know: certain race and birthsign combos work really well together. Bretons with the mage sign make powerful spellcasters, while redguards paired with the warrior sign excel at combat. Mix your major skills between things youll use constantly and occasional abilities, keeps your progress smooth and steady.
Tip: avoid loading up on skills you use every single fight. Include some utility options like athletics or mercantile to balance things out. Maybe interesting - giving your class a unique name adds some flavor, even if it doesnt affect gameplay. Just remember your specialization bonus applies to all related skills, so picking combat doesnt lock you out of magic completely - it just means fighting skills advance a bit faster.
Make sure your two major attributes support your playstyle directly, since theyll improve faster than others. The remaster smooths out the old leveling problems, but its still worth planning around what youll actually enjoy using rather than just picking whatever sounds powerful at the start.

any tips on stacking resistance to physical and magic damage in oblivion remastered? i know its possible in the original game

so in the original oblivion there is this stacking weakness to magic which really buffs up your magic damage and ik this is one of the best strategies when dealing with bosses and tanky enemies. idk if it exists or not but i also heard one discord member yapping about how its broken but its boring at the same time (we both agree cuz i want to go melee mode)
