I've helped quite a few players with this system, and here's what you need to know: the world actually adapts to match your growth (which keeps things challenging throughout your journey). The neat thing is that both your major and minor skills help you level up now, with major skills giving you more progress because, well, they're your character's specialties.
When you hit that level-up moment, you'll get 12 virtue points to play with (take your time with these decisions, they really shape your character). These points go into things like strength and intelligence, and it's worth thinking about how you want your character to develop. Maybe interesting: spreading points across different attributes can make you more versatile, while focusing on just a few can make you really excel in specific areas.
One thing to keep in mind is that as you get stronger, the world keeps pace with you. Your enemies will get tougher, and that rusty iron sword you loved at the start might not cut it anymore. The system basically takes what worked in the original game and blends it with some more modern approaches to make everything feel smoother but still challenging. Just remember, if an area feels too tough, you can always focus on building up some different skills first and come back later when you're better prepared.

any tips on stacking resistance to physical and magic damage in oblivion remastered? i know its possible in the original game

so in the original oblivion there is this stacking weakness to magic which really buffs up your magic damage and ik this is one of the best strategies when dealing with bosses and tanky enemies. idk if it exists or not but i also heard one discord member yapping about how its broken but its boring at the same time (we both agree cuz i want to go melee mode)
