The level scaling means enemies get tougher as you level up so watch your character build carefully. Most dangerous stuff comes from leveling too fast without proper equipment and skills, not from specific areas being extra tough. Every class has its own survival tricks like witchhunters being great at range but really squishy up close, while dunmer characters get that sweet 75% fire resistance which is perfect when youre dealing with oblivion gates. The shivering isles content is wild and dangerous no matter your level, definitely pack healing items and maybe bring backup gear since the enemies there are pretty unpredictable.

Good to know your endurance stat matters a ton since it affects health gains when leveling, low endurance early means youll struggle later even with good gear. The difficulty settings change how much damage you take and deal, but the core scaling stays the same so pick fights smart and level up skills that match your playstyle, especially early on when youre still learning the ropes.

why does stamina no longer affect melee damage?

remember in the original game where having low to no stamina makes you feel like a weakling when dealing damage (talking about the fatigue + stagger mechanics) im just surprised and curious what has changed and why tho tbh im happy lol no more stamina issues

q&a

is weakness stacking still in the game?

so in the original oblivion there is this stacking weakness to magic which really buffs up your magic damage and ik this is one of the best strategies when dealing with bosses and tanky enemies. idk if it exists or not but i also heard one discord member yapping about how its broken but its boring at the same time (we both agree cuz i want to go melee mode)
