Make your way between some abandoned vehicles, specifically looking for a blue car next to a red tanker, and you'll spot the journalist stash tucked behind a tire. Something useful to know - clear out the bandits and dogs first, since you'll be pretty vulnerable while grabbing it.

The armor's actually pretty solid for early exploring, giving you decent physical protection and extra carry weight, plus it handles radiation zones well. You'll need to squeeze through a tight spot to reach it but don't need any special tools. Just remember, this is part of the pre-order stuff, so if you can't find it maybe check out the zircon suit from wild island, or see what quiet's selling near noontide base.

Tip - when you're going for the stash, take it slow since the animation leaves you open, and make absolutely sure you've finished the quest or you won't be able to grab it. The whole area can get pretty busy with hostiles, so maybe scout it out first before making your move.
